Conference journalists will serve two important purposes: 1. Within their assigned Committee: representing "the press", their role will be to stir debate through mini articles published on social media platforms used by the delegates. Each journalist will be assigned to a committee, listening to debate and writing a constant stream of short media posts to help delegates keep up with the debate, and to raise the most important issues.
2. Within the Conference: journalists will report on the Conference in general, interviewing delegates and chairs; taking pictures during debates, ceremonies, and socials; writing news posts on social media, etc. The material produced will then be used to advertise for our next Conference.
If you are interested in being a Conference Journalist for ReadiMUN17, please fill in the application form below. Applications for these positions will close on July 29th. The candidates retained will then be interviewed in order to further discuss their role. They will then be connected with the selected chairs for their respective committees, so as to help them create a thorough study guide on the topics that will have been chosen, for the delegates to base their research on.
