Travelling to the University of Reading

Traveling from within the UK

Reading town is one of the best-connected places in the United Kingdom outside of London. Often termed the 'hub to the west', the railway station serves as a popular stop for trains coming from London, Bristol, Bath, Oxford and Birmingham, and many more. It is just 25 minutes by train from London Paddington. You can check the national rail website for train tickets and to see if your nearest station has a direct train to Reading. Delegates traveling through London may also find this useful Underground Rail Map.

Traveling from UK airports

Reading is also very close to London Heathrow airport for our international delegates, approximately 50 minutes away. A 'rail-air' bus runs every half and hour from the airport to reading station as an alternative to the train. There is also a fast train running from London Gatwick airport to Reading station.
